Verses on Sāṃkhya 6.2

6.2

prativiṣayādhyavasāyo dṛṣṭaṃ trividham anumānam ākhyātam /
tal liṅgaliṅgipūrvakam āptaśrutir āptavacanaṃ tu //

The seen is the determination of each respective object; inference is stated to be threefold;
It is preceded by a mark and a mark-bearer; but authoritative testimony is authoritative revelation. //
