Paumacariya 11.26

11.26

tō pabaēṇa bhaṇiyaṁ, vuccanti ajā pasū na saṁdēhō
tē māriūṇa kīraï, jannō ēsā bhavaï dikkhā

Then Parvataka said: ‘Ajas are called animals, there is no doubt! / Having killed them, the sacrifice is performed; this is the prescribed rite.’
