bhaṇaï taō gaṇanāhō, vippō nāmēṇa atthi bambharuī
mahilā sē varakummī, sā gurubhārā samaṇujāyā

Then the leader of the gaṇas said: “There was a Brahmin named Brahmaruci; / his wife was the noble Kūrmī, and she became heavy with child.
