tāva ya turayārūḍhā, samāgayā vappakadamanihattaṁ
pēcchanti varahayaṁ taṁ, maraṇāvatthaṁ samaṇupattaṁ

Then the mounted men arrived, and saw that excellent horse / stuck in the deep mud and having reached the state of death.
