suvanti lōyasatthē, rāvaṇapamuhā ya rakkhasā savē
vasa-lōhiya-maṁsāī-bhakkhaṇa-pāṇē kayāhārā

In the treatises of worldly people it is heard that all the Rākṣasas, Rāvaṇa and the rest, / had their nourishment through eating fat, blood, flesh, and the like;
