vippassa maē bhajjā, hariyā baddhō ya bālacandēṇaṁ
mukkō muṇivarapāsē, gēṇhāmi aṇāmisaṁ ca vayaṁ

I abducted the wife of a brāhmaṇa, and was captured by Bālacandra; / released in the presence of a noble sage, I took the vow to abstain from meat.
