rakkhijjamāṇō jaṇayaṅgayāē, niccaṁ suṇantō jiṇagīyayatthaṁ
paṇacciō dhammaguṇāṇurattō, jāō jaḍāgī vimalāṇubhāvō

Protected by the daughter of Janaka, constantly listening to the meaning of hymns to the Jinas, / bowing down in reverence, delighting in the virtues of dharma, Jaṭāyus became of spotless glory.
