tatthuddēsammi maē, cāraṇasamaṇā mahantaguṇakaliyā
parivandiyā tumē vi ya, tivaṇaṁ bhattirāēṇaṁ

‘In that place, I reverently bowed to the Cāraṇa ascetics endowed with great virtues,
and you too bowed with intense devotion;
