naï vi hu niṇāmi sattuṁ, saṁgāmē bahurindasaṁghaṭṭa
taha vi ya majjha suyāṇaṁ, dīsaï niyamēṇa ya viṇāsō

"Even though I slay the enemy who collides with many throngs in battle,
nevertheless the destruction of my sons is certainly seen.
