sō ēva bhaṇiyamēttō, ruṭṭō ta bhāmiūṇa maṇavēgaṁ
muñcaï palayakaṇihaṁ jayasaṁsayakāraṇaṁ cakaṁ
No sooner had he spoken thus than [Rāvaṇa], enraged, whirling it with the speed of thought, / hurled the discus resembling the fire of dissolution, the cause of doubt in victory.
