aha rannā āpuṭṭhō samarappiō kahasu bhadda! vuttataṁ
kiṁ diṭṭhō duṭṭhakarī dēvīvi vimōiyā tattō?

Then the king asked Samarappiya: “Tell me, worthy sir, what happened: / Was the wicked elephant seen, and was the queen rescued from him?”
