aïkaruṇaṁ kandantiṁ daṭṭhuṁva mamaṁ sasōyavayaṇillā
nivaḍantathūlatārayaaṁsūhiṁva ruyaï nahalacchī

As though seeing me weeping most piteously, with a face full of sorrow, / the glory of the sky seemed to weep with thick falling stars as tears.
