aha tēṇa tattha gantuṁ kahiē sō niyabalēṇa gāraviō
ujjēṇīō caliō amhāṇaṁ uvari jattāē

Then, when he had gone there and reported it, the king, swollen with pride in his army, / marched out from Ujjayinī on an expedition against us.
