jaïvi hu kayāvarāhō dussīlō handi! nandaṇō majjha
tahavi hu tammi niruddhē rajja-suhaṁ na pasaṁsāmi
Even though he has committed an offense, is ill-behaved, alas, he is my son! / Nevertheless, while he is confined, I do not take pleasure in the joy of kingship.
