tāhi maē vajjariyaṁ sāhijjaï tassa jō na yāṇāi
taṁ puṇa jāṇantōvi hu aliyaṁ ciya pucchisi mamanti

Then I spoke: "It should be told to one who does not know; / but you, even though knowing it, ask me falsely!"
