tattō ya bandhudattō patthuyavatthummi pucchiyā bhaṇaï
varaṇammi ēsa bhaddē! mahōcchavō kaṇagamālāē

And then Bandhudatta, being asked about the matter in question, said:
'O good lady! This is a great festival for the choice of a groom for Kanakamālā.
