aha paṇamiya taṁ dēvaṁ kayañjalī bhaṇaï cittavēgō sō
aïnēhō dakkhinnaṁ ahō ṇu tē mittavacchallaṁ

Then, bowing to that god, Cittavega with folded hands said: / “Excessive affection, courtesy—oh, what affection for a friend you have!
