sōuṁ dunduhisaddaṁ dēvā maṇuyā ya āgayā bahavē
kahiō tēsiṁ dhammō kēvaliṇā mōkkhasuhahēū
Hearing the sound of the kettle-drums, many gods and men arrived; / the Dharma, the cause of the bliss of liberation, was preached to them by the omniscient one.
