ahavā samāṇajāī dhaṇavantō vasaṇavajjiō taha ya
ēsāvi jōvvaṇatthā tamhā dāhinti maha ēē

Or rather, [I am of] equal caste, wealthy, and free of vices, / and she too is in the flower of youth; therefore they will give her to me.”
