se nūnaṃ bhaṃte! kaṇhalessā nīlalessaṃ pappa tārūvattāe, tāvaṇṇattāe, tāgaṃdhattāe, tārasattāe, tāphāsattāe bhujjo-bhujjo pariṇamati?
haṃtā goyamā! kaṇhalesā nīlalesaṃ pappa tārūvattāe, tāvaṇṇattāe, tāgaṃdhattāe, tārasattāe, tāphāsa-ttāe bhujjo-bhujjo pariṇamati| evaṃ cauttho uddesao pannavaṇāe ceva lessāpade neyavvo jāva–

"Is it certainly so, Venerable Sir, that a black lesyā, upon meeting a blue lesyā, transforms again and again into that form, into that color, into that smell, into that taste, into that touch?"
"Yes, Gautama! A black lesyā, upon meeting a blue lesyā, transforms again and again into that form, into that color, into that smell, into that taste, into that touch. In this way, the fourth chapter of the section on lesyā from the Prajñāpanā itself is to be understood up to:"
