"Where, Venerable Sir, is the assembly hall Sudharmā of Camara, the Asura king, the sovereign of the Asurakumāras, declared to be?"
"Gautama! South of Mount Mandara in Jambūdvīpa continent, after crossing innumerably many continents and oceans horizontally, and penetrating forty-two hundred thousand yojanas into the Aruṇodaya ocean from the outer boundary enclosure of the continent Aruṇavara—here is declared the spring-board mountain named Tigiñchikūṭa belonging to Camara, the Asura king, the sovereign of the Asurakumāras: one thousand seven hundred and twenty-one yojanas in height upward, four hundred and thirty yojanas and a kosa in depth [below]; at its base, one thousand and twenty-two yojanas in width; in the middle, four hundred and twenty-four yojanas in width; at the top, seven hundred and twenty-three yojanas in width; at the base, three thousand two hundred and thirty-two yojanas, slightly less, in circumference; in the middle, one thousand three hundred and forty-one yojanas, slightly less, in circumference; at the top, two thousand two hundred and eighty-six yojanas, slightly more, in circumference; wide at the base, narrow in the middle, expansive at the top; composed of excellent diamonds, shaped like a great mṛdaṅga drum; made entirely of jewels, pure, smooth, slick, polished, clean, free from dust, stainless, spotless, devoid of any crust or shadow, radiant, brilliant, luminous, pleasing, lovely, beautiful, and charming.
It is completely encircled all around by a lotus-fence enclosure and a woodland grove. [Here follows] the description of the lotus-fence enclosure and the woodland grove.
Upon that springboard mountain Tigiñchikūṭa is declared an extremely level and delightful piece of ground—[here follows] its description.
In the very center of that extremely level and delightful piece of ground, here is declared a great palace-crest: two and a half hundred yojanas in height upward, one hundred and twenty-five yojanas in width. [Here follows] the description of the palace, [and] the description of the ceiling-ground. There is a jewel-dais of eight yojanas. Camara's throne with his retinue should be described.
South of that Tigiñchikūṭa, after crossing horizontally six hundred and fifty-five crores, thirty-five hundred-thousand and fifty thousand [yojanas] in the Aruṇodaya ocean, and penetrating forty thousand yojanas down into the Ratnaprabhā earth—here is declared the capital city named Camara-cañcā belonging to Camara, the Asura king, the sovereign of the Asurakumāras: one hundred thousand yojanas in length and width, equal in measure to Jambūdvīpa.
Its interior floor is sixteen thousand yojanas in length and width, fifty thousand five hundred and ninety-seven yojanas, slightly less, in circumference; every dimension is to be understood as half the dimension of a Vaimānika [abode]."
