3.83

asirayaṇaṃ naravaissa hatthāo taṃ gahiūṇa jeṇeva āvāḍacilāyā teṇeva uvāgacchai, uvāgacchittā āvāḍacillāehiṃ saddhiṃ saṃpalagge āvi hotthā|
tae ṇaṃ se susene senāvaī te āvāḍacilāe hayamahiyapavaravīraghāiya vivaḍiyaciṃdhaddhayapaḍāgaṃ kicchappāṇovagayaṃ disodisiṃ paḍisehei|

Taking that jewel among swords from the king's hand, he went to where the Āpāṭa Kirātas were; having arrived, he engaged in battle with the Āpāṭa Kirātas. / Then the general Suṣeṇa routed the Āpāṭa Kirātas in every direction, after their prominent heroes were slain and crushed, their insignia, banners, and flags cast down, and [the Kirātas] were reduced to barely clinging to life.
