geheśi tvaṃ carita-sukṛtā hanta vatsas tvad-agre
vakti psāti prathayati ruciṃ yācate jāhasīti |
ardhād evaṃ sthagita-vacanaṃ sneha-pūrād vrajeśaṃ
dhyāyed vṛttiṃ bata na labhate man-mano bambhramīti || [mandākrāntā]

'Mistress of the house, your meritorious deeds are accomplished; ah, the child in front of you / speaks, eats, displays his desire, begs, laughs!' / My mind, which should meditate upon the lord of Vraja whose speech is thus halted in mid-utterance / by the flood of affection, alas, finds no steady state, but wanders constantly! ||72
