According to the compilation of the Padma Purāṇa, their appearance completely arises from the particular majesty of Vṛndāvana itself—which transcends the realm of material nature—wherein is described their entrance, which in every kalpa is the narrative of the wishing-tree of abundant happiness, after the slaying of Dantavakra, into an entirely solitary and charming [abode], free from the touch of the multitude of minds and bodies of worldly persons, composed of the host of eminent glories celebrated in the Vārāha and other Purāṇas, and a treasure of the divine play of the cows, cowherds, Gopāla, and Rāma, delighting in their respective eternal characters heard in unmixed descriptions found in the Padma, Skanda, and other Purāṇas.
