Having returned home, the boys of Vraja described that entire incident:
how such was the form of the heron bird,
and how its death was brought about by the boy.
Because of those two reports, every limb of the people of Gokula was burned and sprinkled,
so that the people feared: “This surely will lead to destruction!”
Yet afterward, when it conversely brought about horripilation, it was only fitting;
for the subsequent report, superior even to the finest nectar, was savored by them thus.
