kṛṣṇaṃ madhye labdhavantaḥ sakhāyaḥ
sarvaṃ tat tad vismarantaḥ sva-duḥkham |
tat-kāntīnāṃ santataṃ pātu-kāmās
tasthur yadvat pūrṇa-candraṃ cakorāḥ || [śālinī]

Having obtained Kṛṣṇa in their midst, / the companions forgot all their various sorrows; / desiring constantly to drink his splendor, / they stood like cakora birds drinking the full moon.
