[23] tad evam atiparicaritam | hari-carita-varṇanaṃ madhura-rāga-nīrandhraṃ karṇa-randhraṃ praviśad eva taṃ mūrcchām ṛcchantam api jāgarayāmāsa, nāma-dheyam iva nidrā-labdha-cid-rāhityam |

[23] Thus, that description of Hari's deeds, completely attended upon, entering the hollow of his ear fully saturated with sweet melody, awakened him even as he had fallen into a swoon, just as [hearing] one's name awakens one who has lost consciousness in sleep.
