pramāṇaṃ yathā,
neṣṭā yad aṅgini rase kavibhir paroḍhā
tad gokulāmbujadṛśāṃ kulam antarena |
āśāṃsayā rasavidher avatāritānāṃ
kaṃsāriṇā rasikamaṇḍalaśekhareṇa ||[5.3] iti |

The authority is as follows: / "That a woman married to another is not desired by poets in the principal aesthetic rasa / applies except to the group of lotus-eyed women of Gokula, / who were brought down through desire for the ordinance of rasa / by Kaṃsāri, the crest-jewel of the circle of connoisseurs."
