janmārabhya harer vraja-sthalam abhūd viśva-rddhi-yuktaṃ punar
lakṣmīṇāṃ ramaṇāspadaṃ ca tad-adhiṣṭhānād viśiṣyājani |
rādhā yāsu lalāsa pūrṇa-śaśabhṛn-mūrtīva tārāsu sā
kāntiḥ kintv iha citra-bhāva-valitā yā kṛṣṇa-pakṣādhikā || [śārdūla]

“Beginning with the birth of Hari, the region of Vraja became endowed with all prosperity, and moreover
became the playground of the Lakṣmīs, born especially because of his residing there;
among whom Rādhā shone forth like the form of the full moon among the stars,
yet her splendor here, folded in wondrous love, is greater during the dark fortnight [of Kṛṣṇa]. ||15.5
