[8] yatrānanda-kandalitatayā svayam api labdha-tṛṣṇāḥ kṛṣṇādayas tadīya-śikṣā-parīkṣaṇāya sudurgama-tālādi-dharās tat-parikarā eva babhūvuḥ |

[8] Whereupon, their own longing having blossomed with joy, Kṛṣṇa and the others became their very attendants, keeping rhythm with rhythms that were difficult to follow, in order to test their training.
