pralamba-patanaṃ dūre pralambāryāptir antike |
ubhe te yugapad dṛṣṭe jajñāte smita-vismitī || [anuṣṭubh]
bāṣpa-śliṣṭatayā tasminn āśliṣṭau bhrātarau mithaḥ |
yā vāśliṣyārdratāṃ yātā bandhutā bahir antaram || [anuṣṭubh]

The fall of Pralamba far away, the arrival of the elder brother [of the slayer] of Pralamba near at hand— / both seen at the same time produced smiles and astonishment. //
Clinging to tears, the two brothers then embraced each other; / or rather, their kinship, outwardly and inwardly, reached tenderness upon embracing. //
