1.15.64

ātmano' py alam amī mama priyā
hā davaṃ prati davaṃ samiyrati |
gīrṇam eva karavāṇy amuṃ tataḥ
ko yamaḥ ka iha vā bhaved haraḥ || [rathoddhatā]

“These are far dearer to me than my own self;
alas, they run from danger toward danger [the fire]!
Therefore I will simply swallow it up;
who could be Death, or who Hara here?”
