[4] tad evaṃ tābhis tasyātidurlabhasya spṛhātiśaya-vāhitayā nātihitāyāṃ śarady ativāhitāyāṃ mārgaśīrṣas tu tāsāṃ patiṃ-manya-gṛha-gamanāya mārga-śīrṣatām avāpa |

[4] Thus, as that autumn—not very favorable because of being swept along by their excessive longing for him who was exceedingly hard to attain—was passed by them, Mārgaśīrṣa became the forefront of the path (mārga-śīrṣa) for their going to the houses of those who considered themselves their husbands.
