1.16.107

asmin vane tu vihagā munayaḥ pradiṣṭāḥ
kṛṣṇas tu tad-gurur iti pratataṃ pratīmaḥ |
naivānyathā tad amunā kimapi pragītaṃ
mauna-vratena śṛṇuyuḥ parito niviṣṭāḥ || [vasantatilakā]

The birds in this forest are declared to be sages,
and we firmly believe that Kṛṣṇa is their teacher;
otherwise, seated all around under a vow of silence,
they would never listen to whatever he has sung. ||53
