1.16.57

śikhaṇḍināṃ yā kala-nṛtya-mādhurī
śikhaṇḍa-cūḍasya sadātiśarmadā |
na sānusandhānam itā tad astu yan
mūrdhnaḥ śikhaṇḍaṃ ca jagāma vismṛtim || [upajāti 12]

That sweet, melodious dancing of the peacocks
which always gave supreme delight to him who wears a peacock-feather crown—
he paid no attention to it; let alone that,
even the peacock-feather upon his head was forgotten.
