vṛndāraṇyaṃ prathayati bhuvaḥ kīrtim atra svayaṃ hi
śrīmān kṛṣṇo viharati padāmbhoja-lakṣmīṃ vitanvan |
veṇor vādye naṭana-ghaṭanaṃ barhiṇaḥ sabhya-bhāvaṃ
vanyāḥ sarve yayur iti sadā raṅgatāṃ yaj jagāma || [mandākrāntā]

Vṛndāvana spreads the glory of the earth, for here in person
glorious Kṛṣṇa sports, displaying the splendor of his lotus feet;
at the playing of his flute, the peacocks take up dancing and all the forest creatures
become spectators, so that it has perpetually become an arena of performance. ||49
