pīta-śyāmā kiṃ prabhā? kiṃ taḍitvān?
kiṃ vā dhātu-dyoti-bhūbhṛd vibhāti? |
suṣṭhūttiṣṭhan kiṃ svid etad bakījin-
mūrti-vyūhaḥ sphūrtim atrātanoti? || [śālinī]

'Is that yellow and dark radiance? Is it a cloud with lightning? / Or does a mountain shining with mineral pigments shine forth? / Rising up properly, does this host of forms of the conqueror of Bakī / spread forth its manifestation here?' ||1.18.30
