govardhana-mahā-yajñe hutabhug-vyājatas tadā |
hareḥ pratāpa evendhāñcakre śakra-pratāpanaḥ || yadāgnir dakṣiṇāvarto yajñe jajñe tadā janaḥ |
sarvaś ca dakṣiṇāvarta-parīvartam avartata || [anuṣṭubh]
In that great sacrifice of Govardhana, under the guise of the fire,
it was the very majesty of Hari, scorching Śakra, that blazed up.
When the fire in the sacrifice was seen to turn to the right,
every person performed a circumambulation turning to the right.
