Then, while all the virtuous people were thus plunged in supreme bliss, a certain master-bard, pre-eminent in his ancestral lineage, gathered some of his kin around him and, placing before him two young boys of handsome appearance and wearing their hair in sidelocks, arrived there and had them recite a poem of benediction. And those two looked upon the prince of the king of Vraja, the sole refuge of all—like rain-bearing clouds adorned with lightning inside are to cātaka birds, like the jewel of wish-granting gems is to those oppressed by the thought of wealth, and like the dome of the sky is to the spheres of luminaries. Thereupon, meditating intently on Him together with His retinue—an ocean of beauty without opposite shore—and contemplating Him for a few moments, their impending collapse prevented by their kin, they fell into a state resembling a swoon. Rising above it and regaining their composure with difficulty, they said with choked voices:
"Victory, O crest jewel of the earth of Vraja, sapphire ocean of all wish-granting gems! Victory, O prince-regent of Vraja, who bestow an assembly of boundless happiness reaching as far as Śeṣa who upholds the earth by relieving the earth's burden! Victory, O Śrī Balarāma, of white splendor like a banner of Vraja's fame at the forefront of your own dynasty! Victory, victory!"
