[68] atra cānyathā nijāṅgīkāra-sabhaṅgī-bhāvād dharma eva marma-bādhāyāṃ nātmānaṃ saṃvarmayed iti bhāvaḥ |

[68] And the purport here is that otherwise, through the breach of one's own promise, dharma itself should not leave itself unprotected against injury to the vital core.
