vidhur ahaṃ haritaḥ pratidik-pati-
praṇayiṇi ramayan jana-śarmadaḥ |
tvam iha kiṃ nu vidho sthagitāyase
para-ramā-ramaṇaṃ prati samprati? || [drutavilambita]

I, the moon, delighting the directions, the beloved of every directional guardian, / bestow happiness upon people. / Why then, O friend, do you hold back here / toward the lover of another’s fair lady? [16]
