[31] tatrānurāgo yathā,
sāśru-kaṇṭha-nayanaṃ sakaṇṭakaṃ
kampa-sampad-ayanaṃ sa-mādhavaḥ |
rādhikā-virahajādhibādhitaḥ
śravya-veṇu-kalabhavyam ājagau || [rathoddhatā]

[31] In that regard, the deep love (anurāga) is as follows:
With tears in his throat and eyes, his hair thrilling,
the abode of trembling's wealth, Mādhava,
afflicted by mental anguish born of Rādhikā's separation,
sang so beautifully on the melodious, audible flute. ||
