yā yatra karmaṇi gatās tad-anusthitiṃ tā
vismṛtya tasya muralī-śruti-divya-netrāh |
dṛśya-prabhaṃ tam abhivavrajur aśru-nīra-
srotasvatī-mayatayā nija-jīvaneśam || [vasantatilakā]

Whatever task each was engaged in, forgetting its performance,
with their divine eyes attentive to the flute’s sound,
they went to him of visible splendor, the lord of their lives,
as if turning into rivers made of flowing tears. ||
