yasyājasra-didṛkṣayā vidalita-prāyāḥ sadāmūḥ sthitās
tasya prāṇa-suhṛd-varāḥ svayam amī tat-preraṇād āgatāḥ |
tat-samprāptim avādiṣuḥ punar adaḥ prārthyaṃ ca kiñcit tad apy
annaṃ tatra kathaṃ kathaṃ kathaya tāḥ prāpsyanti dhairya-sthitim ||
They who were almost shattered by the perpetual desire to behold him— / his very life-friends came in person at his instigation! / They declared his arrival, and moreover there was something to be requested, and that too was food! / Tell me, how could they maintain their composure there?
