yāmune samam aśoka-kānane
gopakaiḥ sa viharan mudānvitaḥ |
aikṣi bhūsura-vadhūbhir īkṣyatāṃ
dhyānam eva gatam ity amāni ca ||

Sporting with delight along with the cowherd boys
in an aśoka grove by the Yamunā,
He was seen by the wives of the brāhmaṇas, who gazed upon Him,
thinking that their very meditation had materialized before their eyes. // 19
