kṛpaṇa-pālaka śrī-vrajeśvarī-
tanuja yogya-dhīr asti naśvarī |
iti tavātmaval lipti-riktatā
paraga-pīḍayā bhāti tiktatā ||
O protector of the wretched, O son of the queen of Vraja! / An appropriate understanding is perishable; / thus, like yourself, freedom from contamination / appears bitter through the suffering of others. //
