atiparimiti-śobhā-bhājanaṃ kṛṣṇa-rūpaṃ
nayad anupama-kāntiṃ yauvataṃ tad vireje |
idam upamiti-śūnyaṃ yat tu kāvyaṃ samāptaṃ
sa iha na mama doṣas tadd hi tattvaṃ tathaiva || [mālinī]

The multitude of young maidens shone forth, / imparting incomparable splendor to Kṛṣṇa's form, the vessel of limitless beauty. / But that this poetic work has ended without a simile / is not my fault here, for the truth is indeed just like that. ||
