pratyayantyo' py atijava-bharād asya ghorān nivṛttāḥ
paśyantyo nāv api dhig amutas trāsa-vidhvasta-netrāḥ |
krośantyo' pi pratirutikṛtānena nīruddha-śabdāḥ
bhrātas tarhy apy ahaha kim amū rakṣituṃ na dravāva ||

“Though having faith [in us], they have turned away from his terrible, excessive speed; / shame, their eyes shattered by terror, they cannot even see us two! / Though screaming, their voices are smothered by this one who mimics their cries; / O brother, should we two still not run to protect them? Alas!”
