śiva-kṣapāyām atha yāpitāyāṃ
valgūtsavā phālguna-pūrṇimāgāt |
pakṣa-dvayasyāsya yathaiva kāntiḥ
parva-dvayasyāsya ca tadvad asti ||
When the auspicious night had passed,
the Phālguna full moon arrived, bringing a delightful festival.
Just as the beauty of these two fortnights is,
so too is the beauty of these two festivals. ||
