[22] gatau cānavadya-vādya-ghoṣeṇa ghoṣaṃ vadhirayantau pratisenām avadhīrayāmāsatuḥ | yena samuddīpita-mānāḥ pratisenāyamānāś ca tās tathā vādyataḥ saṃmukhatām āsādya paritas tān api sarvān aticitrayāmāsuḥ |

Having arrived, deafening the cowherd station with the blare of flawless musical instruments, they slighted the opposing army; whereupon the women, their pride inflamed and acting as a hostile army, approached facing them accompanied by music, and completely colored all of them on every side.
